What is BIMI?
Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) is an email standard that lets domain owners display their brand logo next to authenticated emails in supporting clients like Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo Mail, and Fastmail. It builds on top of DMARC enforcement to give recipients a visual indicator that the message is legitimate.
A BIMI record is a TXT record published at default._bimi.yourdomain.com that
starts with v=BIMI1 followed by
semicolon-separated tags defining your logo URL and optional Verified Mark Certificate (VMC).
BIMI requires your domain to have a DMARC policy of quarantine or
reject.
